On September 30th, the OMHS choral department hosted its first annual Trucks and Tunes. Hosted in the courtyard between history and science hall, students stood on the bed of a pickup truck and performed for friends and family. Food trucks such as City Bowls and Cheese Louise came to provide food for the event.

Many of OMHS’s talented students showed off their beautiful voices. Solo acts include Ryan Ross, Amelia Park, Dalton Stein, and Amalia Trujillo. Duets include Mak Pate and Holli Riddle and Greyson Kennemur and Griffin Vest. The night was closed with the song “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys, performed by Blake Pollard, Christian Lester, Drew Peters, Brandon Stephens, and Darian Dollar. The event was MCed by Julia Stone.

The OMHS choral department would again like to thank their director level sponsors: The Clothes Tree, Marks Outdoors, Southwest Water Company, Archadeck of Birmingham, Neverthirst, and RFG Advisory. They would also like to thank their producer level sponsors ACR Systems, INC, Eric and Christy Johnson, TSC Cooperation, Country Financial, Five Star Lumber, and HCA of Birmingham.
