The sequel to 2009’s Academy Award winning movie Avatar, is set to be released in December of 2022. This futuristic action movie was set on a fictional planet called Pandora, and showed the true destructive nature of humanity throughout the storyline. The Na’vi people are indigenous to the planet of Pandora and have a close relationship with nature and their surroundings. But, when humans begin destroying Na’vi territory in search of rare minerals, a war breaks out that tests the people of Pandora, making them fight for survival. This film was known for its incredible use of CGI, and the talented acting of Sam Worthington, and Zoe Saldana.
The sequel was originally set to hit theaters back in 2017, but the crew ran into difficulties with the CGI software used to capture the new underwater world of the upcoming film. Fans of the movie have been waiting for 11 years now and are thrilled to finally hear some news about the progress of the film. Director James Cameron said,“There is no one more disappointed about this delay than me”. The corona virus has further delayed filming but the crew is adamant they will be able to bring us the sequel by December of 2022.
