The Spirit of Cahaba participated in the Lake Martin Invitational for marching bands this past weekend.

Mr. Travis Bender and Mr. Kevin Ownby directed them to superior ratings and best in class awards for the categories of band, percussion, color guard and majorette. They also won the highest score of the competition for high brass, low brass, front ensemble, battery, color guard, marching capabilities, and music production.

The Spirit of Cahaba had a clean sweep, walking away with a total of 15 trophies. Sophomore Ella Swanson said, “It was a lot of fun, and I’m really proud of how everyone did.” They will be performing their production of “The Colors of Oz” this Friday night at Heardmont Park as the football team battles Spain Park.

Congratulations to all students that participated; Go Eagles!
