On Friday, October 12th 2018, Amanda Bittinger won Teacher of the Year. At the end of fourth period, she was awarded the title “Teacher of the Year” by Dr. Sayers along with flowers and balloons. Also there to celebrate with her was Mr. Epps, Mr.Dudley, and her entire fourth period class. Mrs. B. felt so honored to have earned the title. She believes that there are so many other teachers who should have won it rather than her. She’s deeply appreciative and glad that sixteen years ago she decided to be a teacher at Oak Mountain High school. Though humble, Amy Bittinger was a perfect recipient for this award.
