Welcome Back to School!

Welcome Back to School!

Leighton Taylor, Staff Writer

As we all know,  COVID-19 has taken our world by storm in these past 6-7 months. Although many of us at OMHS have returned to school, we cannot forget that the virus is still very much alive! In the coming months, we all need to work together to keep our fellow students and staff members healthy. This virus can be fatal to some, so we need to be careful. We can do so by practicing precautions.

Now, what precautions should we be practicing? First of all, keep 6 feet apart! At lunch, leave two spaces between you and your friends, and make sure to follow the arrows in the hallways to prevent crowds. Next, be sure to wash your hands often. Take at least 20 seconds to wash your hands with soap and warm water. You should wash your hands before eating, as well as after coughing, sneezing, and touching school doors and laptops, and of course, wear a mask! By taking a few seconds to put on a mask or wash your hands, you could be saving someone’s life.

With all of that said, please just be safe and follow the rules! While they may not be ideal, they really do make a big difference. The more sanitary and cautious we are, the sooner things will get back to normal. Then we can have Soar 60, pep rallies, and everything else we all enjoy!
