The Oak Mountain Eagles fell to the Spain Park Jaguars 23-20 on October 24, 2016. This night meant a lot to the seniors, because it was their last game being played on their home field. With a devastating loss comes some light at the end of the tunnel. A\

Although the Eagles painful defeat stunned them, Oak Mountain isn’t paralyzed because even after a 3-6 overall record they have 3-4 regional record which has found them a spot in the playoffs seated as the fourth position in 7A.
Oak Mountain looks forward to their upcoming game against Hazel Green even though it’s away. Head Coach Chris Bell said in a senior team meeting that we have two weeks to prepare for Hewitt Trussville because Hazel Green runs the same exact kind of offense, so we should be prepared going into the first round of the playoffs.

As the Eagles keep on soaring to new chapters in this 2016 season, the senior class looks to be the winningest class that has passed through Oak Mountain since it first opened in 1999.
That’s something to look forward to and to work towards going into the playoffs. Go Eagles!
