The Oak Mountain Eagles suffered a painful loss Friday night,as the Eagles fell to the Hazel Green Trojans 28-30. With seconds left in the game, Oak Mountain set up for a field goal attempt. Number one Nick Carney got the snap and kicked the ball barely missing the uprights.

It was a tough loss for the Eagles but not a career ending one. The Eagles are currently seated 4th in the 7A regional playoffs with a game set to be played this Friday at Hewitt Trussville.

The Eagles look to capitalize on their chances they have worked so hard to get. Currently the Eagles are 3-4 in their conference and 3-7 overall. Oak Mountain “is always circumstance proof, and this game is the most important every week,” says Head Coach Cris Bell. With the playoffs being a single game elimination the Eagles are eager but cautious going into this game. It could be the last chance or the first opportunity. Go Eagles!
