Oak Mountain Hosts Annual PTO Vision Dinner and Auction

Oak Mountain High School PTO recently held its Annual Eagle Vision Dinner & Auction on March 5, from 4:30 to 8:00 pm. This fundraiser primarily supports Oak Mountain’s academic department, with all proceeds from the Eagle Vision Dinner and the Silent Auction going directly towards Oak Mountain High School. In the past, the PTO club has used these funds to support the purchases of teacher grants, academic programs, technology, creative learning opportunities, library enhancements, classroom projects, and instructional supplies for students and teachers.

While attendees enjoyed a catered, Mexican Fiesta meal, Oak Mountain showcased its talented students with the show choir’s performances.

Every year local businesses, Oak Mountain clubs, and sports teams donate their goods and services as prizes for the silent auction. This community-friendly bounty included: A Robert Trent Jones golf package, Spa Packages, a Park City Utah Ski trip, Sophomore Parking Passes, Graduation tickets, a limo for Prom, ACT Prep Courses, a Vera Bradley duffle bag and a matching tote, Breakout Birmingham passes, a Sante Fe Day Spa hot stone massage or body treatment, Alabama, Auburn and UAB Freshman Year Survival baskets, an Ole Miss Athletics basket, Hershey’s Chocolate baskets, Oak Mountain gear, a Pure Barre one month membership, an Ulta Makeup kit, pet boarding and pet grooming items, a Yearbook Senior Ad space, a Flamingo a Friend certificate, a golf bag and a free round of golf, a 2016 Eagle Club membership, and various gift cards.

PTO President, Julie Holstad, described this year’s auction as a, “Huge success… we are positioned to pass both our goals and our prior year’s profit!”
