Every year during Homecoming week Oak Mountain puts on a talent show to showcase the immense amount of talent at our school, and this year’s student body put on a great show.

From impersonations to light-up hula hoops, OMHS brought it all to the PAC this year. Singing acts included Evan Pezant, Mary Elizabeth Carlton, Katie Halsey with Johnny Bradford playing guitar, Ty Davis, Natalie Wendle, Grace Adair who also played piano, Corbin and Morgan Meredith, Taylor Kniphfer, Jeanju Lee, Francie Harris, and Tal Lovvorn with Riley Bright and Eli Long who played guitar and drums, Payton Cato with Eddie Brown playing guitar, and Randall Ceneus who played guitar as well as singing.

Dancing acts included Gabby Murphree, Callie Walker, and an ensemble with Myra Taylor, Maya Johnson, and Morgan York. Instrument acts included Sean Drummond playing piano and Katie Morris playing flute and piano. Paige Bramblett returned with yet another performance of her light up hula hoops. Michael Ruffino did impersonations ranging from Patrick Star to Morgan Freeman. “I have been doing impressions for a very long time, ever since when I was five and I did Stitch.” He was originally going to attempt stand-up, but decided against it favoring his impressions far more. He also wanted me to let you know that he gave this quote while sounding like Sean Connery.

Everyone did a spectacular job; this year’s showcase was yet again a success at showing all the talent in our school. Go Eagles!
