Rescue Dogs Make Great Pets

Rescue Dogs Make Great Pets

Brennan Jordan, Staff Writer

I believe that everyone should adopt a rescue dog. There are millions of these poor animals around the world that are neglected and abused for absolutely no reason. Not enough people see the positive effects of adopting a homeless dog. If you are feeling lonely or just bored in general, a dog is a phenomenal way to pass the time. It will teach you responsibility and help you with life skills. Almost 70% of shelter dogs around the world never find a home and are left to rot in their unkempt pungent quarters. This could easily change with the promotion of dog rescuing around the world. Although medication, food, and living necessities can be fairly expensive for a pet, you can easily save a life with minimum costs.

Dog abuse is never acceptable under any circumstances. Almost all of dog abandonment is a result of financial struggle or just pure neglect and heartlessness. If you can no longer support your dog then surrender it to an adoption agency or try to re-home to someone you know is kind and will provide a safe environment for the animal.
